Meet the Team
Kamloops Pediatric Dental’s mission is for all children to have a fun and safe experience at the dentist.

Meet Dr. Jon
Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry
Originally trained as a general dentist, Dr. Jon quickly discovered that children were his favourite patients. His passion for pediatric care led him to complete a three-year Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Otago in New Zealand. After returning to Canada, he spent two years teaching pediatric dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan before completing an additional year of advanced training at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH). Following years of training, teaching, and clinical practice, Dr. Jon fulfilled his dream of opening his own pediatric dental practice. Kamloops Pediatric Dentistry opened in 2020.
As both a pediatric specialist and a father of three boys — including one with autism — Dr. Jon brings not only clinical expertise but also a deep sense of empathy and understanding to his work. He creates a welcoming environment where every child can feel safe, supported, and understood.
Dr. Jon grew up on a farm near a small town in central Alberta and now proudly calls Kamloops home. Outside the office, he enjoys snowboarding, traveling with his wife and children around BC, and spending time on the football field with the young Kamloops Broncos and SKSS Titans. At home, Dr. Jon is simply “Dad” — the go-to science project helper, the family’s head chef, and the all-hours chauffeur to football and basketball games. Life with three growing boys gives him a deep appreciation for the joys and challenges families face, and it shapes the way he cares for every child who walks through the door.
The Heart of KPD Is the Team Behind It
Behind every great pediatric dental experience is a team of skilled, compassionate professionals who love what they do. At Kamloops Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Jon is proud to work alongside an exceptional group of people who make it possible to care for thousands of children and families from across British Columbia.
